A Valuation Associate position working on business valuation engagements across multiple contexts including financial reporting, tax and estate planning, matrimonial matters, shareholder disputes, and transaction support. The role involves preparing valuation reports, conducting research, and taking sole responsibility for smaller engagements while collaborating with junior team members on larger assignments.

What you will be doing

  • Prepare business valuation reports for fair value financial reporting, purchase price allocation, and impairment testing
  • Conduct valuations for tax and estate planning, matrimonial matters, and shareholder disputes
  • Perform valuation-related research including industry transactions, valuation multiples, economic data, and industry-specific information
  • Take sole responsibility for completing smaller valuation engagements
  • Coordinate with junior staff to complete valuation assignments
  • Value financial derivatives and provide due diligence support for mergers and acquisitions

What the role requires

  • Experience at a public accounting firm or investment research firm
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Strong research and report-writing skills
  • Fluency in Mandarin
