This Accounting Technician role provides essential accounting support in a public accounting environment. You will prepare working papers, manage reconciliations, process payroll, and maintain general ledger records under ASPE. The position requires managing multiple client files with accuracy while responding to queries from professional staff.

What you will be doing

  • Prepare client working papers including bank reconciliations, technical accounting schedules, and supporting documentation for file completion
  • Perform payroll processing including data entry, validation, and testing
  • Conduct ongoing bookkeeping and accounting analysis in accordance with internal procedures
  • Respond to queries from team members and update client files accordingly
  • Leverage technology to improve processes and enhance service delivery

What the role requires

  • Diploma or certificate in Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance
  • 1+ years of hands-on bookkeeping and/or full-cycle accounting experience
  • Proficiency with accounting software such as Sage 50, QuickBooks Desktop, and QuickBooks Online
  • Experience in a public accounting environment with ASPE-based accounting
