Senior Accountant - Audit

This is a senior-level position in external audit, focused on planning and executing audit and review engagements for owner-managed clients reporting under ASPE. The role includes supervising junior staff, managing client relationships, and preparing corporate tax returns alongside assurance work.

What you will be doing

• Plan, execute, and lead audit and review engagements independently
• Analyze financial statements and manage risk assessments
• Prepare corporate tax returns
• Supervise and mentor junior staff members
• Prepare detailed reports and memos with accounting conclusions
• Manage multiple engagements while monitoring deadlines and budgets
• Maintain and develop client relationships

What the role requires

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, or a related field
• Minimum 4 years of experience in public accounting with a focus on assurance and audit
• Strong knowledge of Canadian Accounting and Auditing Standards
• Proficiency in MS Office, CaseWare, and other accounting software
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
